SAAVA Terms and Conditions

Please read this information carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in any San Antonio Adult Volleyball Association (SAAVA) activities, you will be expressly assuming the risk and legal liability and waiving and releasing all claims for negligence, gross negligence, and strict liability related to or arising out of any injuries, damages or loss, which you might sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with SAAVA.

 

I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in SAAVA activities, and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages, or loss, regardless of the program/activity, that I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with SAAVA. I further agree to waive and relinquish all claims, including negligence, gross negligence, and strict liability, that I may have as a result of participating in SAAVA activities, including any social or charitable events or gatherings that may be organized, authorized, or paid for by SAAVA, individual SAAVA players, or any league or division organized under SAAVA or their rules, including but not limited to happy hours, bar functions, and any pre-game, game-time, or post-game events or gatherings, against SAAVA and their officials, agents, affiliates, volunteers, employees, and sponsors.

 

I further consent to the use of my image or likeness in promotional material to be used by SAAVA, associates, and the general media. I freely and willingly waive all rights and claims to compensation for use of my image or likeness.

 

For a period of two (2) years following the date of my last participation in any program organized by SAAVA, I shall not, directly or indirectly, develop, create, establish or participate in the development, creation or establishment of any organization, league or other entity that engages in events, programs and activities competitive with SAAVA programs.

 

I DO HEREBY FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE SAAVA, INCLUDING THEIR OFFICIALS, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SPONSORS AND ALL CLAIMS FOR NEGLIGENCE, STRICT NEGLIGENCE, OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE RELATED TO OR ARISING OUT OF ANY INJURIES, DAMAGES OR LOSS THAT I MAY HAVE, OR WHICH MAY ACCRUE TO ME AND ARISING OUT OF, CONNECTED WITH, OR IN ANY WAY ASSOCIATED WITH ANY PROGRAM OR ACTIVITY ORGANIZED BY SAAVA. IN ADDITION, BY SIGNING THIS WAIVER I CERTIFY I AM PHYSICALLY FIT, AND I AM NOT UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY SUBSTANCES WHICH WOULD IMPAIR MY ABILITY TO PLAY THE SPORTS PRESENTED BY SAAVA.
